Sustainability is at the heart of ound. We believe creating anything today comes with a deep sense of responsibility. We choose to make fewer pieces, using high-quality natural materials and slow processes designed to last over time. For us, true luxury lies in care.

With an alternative approach to a broken fashion system, we focus on a series of core principles that guide the way we work - from the fibres and dyes we choose to the people we collaborate with and the pace at which each garment is made.

Every piece begins with a simple question: what is the gentlest path from fibre to finished garment?

Natural materials

We only use natural, renewable and biodegradable fibres such as wool, silk, cotton and linen, which don't release chemicals or microplastics into the environment.

Real colours

We work with undyed wool, embracing the natural colours from Merino and Corriedale breeds. We naturally dye our woven garments using pigments extracted from food waste and plants that grow on our surroundings, without using chemical products.

Locally produced

Our wool is sourced from Uruguay, a country with a high-quality production of wool and wool  craftsmanship. Our hand-knitted pieces are also made in this country by a group of female artisans who work from their homes. Each of our pieces takes three to five days to be crafted.

Slowly handmade

For dyeing, we create our own natural dyes. This is a process that respects the cycles of nature and needs time. The colours obtained depend on the time of the year and the quality of the water; this is why the results are always different, connecting each piece to the time and place where it came into being.

Animal welfare

Uruguayan farms are small, owned by families that have been in the industry for generations and support animal welfare. No sheeps are injured in collecting the wool, and the practice of mulesing is banned.

Socially conscious

This is a project run mostly by women, working independently but supporting each other. From the lady who collects antique bed linens to the knitters and the seamstress, we all work closely, respecting our times, abilities and possibilities.

Clean energy

95% of the energy that is used to produce our wool comes from natural and renewable sources, and 100% rainwater is used to wash the wool before spinning it.

Minimal use of resources

We choose to dye our woven pieces on-demand so as to not generate extra stock, only creating the pieces that are going to be used. This also allows us to reduce the use of water.

Vintage materials

Repurposing fabrics means we take advantage of resources that have already been used to create them. This highly minimises the consumption of energy and water in our production chain. And it is also a way to fight against textile waste.

Designed to last

Thanks to the high quality of the materials and processes used, our garments can be worn for a lifetime: passed down from generations, repaired and recycled as new pieces, increasing their lifespan and reducing their impact.

Zero waste

Knitting is a zero-waste process, since the fabric is generated in the same knitting process avoiding cuttings and wastage.

Our packaging is developed using materials that we already have in- house, such as dead-stock fabrics, repurposed goods or leftover cuttings from our designs.
