We hope you’re enjoying A present to be present.
For this final note in the series, we wanted to share something quietly essential — simple, tactile, and grounding.
This time, we’re turning to an everyday ritual: felt-wrapped soap.
An object that lives in the daily.
A moment of attention woven into every day routines.

You’ll need:
- Wool roving
- A bar of soap
- A nylon stocking
- Bubble wrap
- Hot and cold water
- A spray bottle or bowl of water
The process:
Lay thin layers of wool roving on bubble wrap, alternating directions.
Wet the soap and place it at the center, wrapping the wool tightly around it.
Moisten the wool and place the wrapped soap inside a nylon stocking, tying a knot.

Dip it into hot water, then gently rub it against the bubble wrap to create friction.
Continue for several minutes, returning to hot water as needed, until the wool begins to felt and hold together.
Remove from the stocking and let it dry completely.
The felted layer naturally exfoliates the skin, absorbs excess moisture, and helps the soap last longer.

Useful and made with intention,
we hope it finds a place in your daily rhythm.
