For the holiday season, we wanted to share A present to be present — a series of small gestures we’ve been preparing for you.
Moments to slow down, to reconnect, and to enjoy being here.
Our first gift is sharing a simple way to make aromatic candles at home — a quiet, tactile ritual you can return to whenever you need.

You’ll need:
- Natural wax
- Cotton wick
- Glass tubes or narrow containers
- A pot and a heatproof bowl
- A clothespin or wooden stick
- Essential oil (optional)

The process:
Melt the beeswax gently in a double boiler, allowing it to warm slowly and evenly without rushing. Add a few drops of your favourite grounding essential oil.
Once fully liquid, remove from heat and carefully pour the melted wax into the test tube, filling it deep enough for dipping.
Prepare the cotton wick by folding it in half and holding it from the center. Slowly lower the wick into the warm wax, letting it soak for a few seconds, then lift it out just as slowly.
Allow the wax to cool and turn opaque, then repeat the dipping process, letting the candle rest briefly between each dip. With every immersion, a thin layer of beeswax forms, gradually building the candle’s shape.
Continue dipping until the candle reaches the desired thickness. As the wax is still slightly warm, gently straighten the candle if needed.
Let the candle cool completely and rest undisturbed. Once fully set, trim the wick and allow the candle to cure naturally before use.

Light it when the day begins to soften —
in the early morning, at dusk, or whenever you need a pause.
A moment to be present.
